About
I'm Oscar — a software engineer on Azure Storage at Microsoft, based in New York. I studied math and computer science at Cornell.
Most of my college years went to Cornell DTI, where I went from writing API endpoints to leading the dev team. Along the way I interned at Microsoft and Shmood.
I like problems where systems thinking meets real constraints: consistency protocols, storage engines, developer tooling, and lately the messy, fast-moving world of AI agents. I tend to learn by building — small prototypes, taken seriously.
What I'm into
- Distributed systems — storage, consensus, the Spanner/Dynamo lineage.
- AI agents — MCP servers, orchestration, context engineering, eval.
- Math meets craft — the places where theory shows up in real tools.
- Cooking — new recipes and techniques; flan is a specialty.
- Building products — I'd like to found something someday.
